Mycorrhiza diversity

Most plant species live in close association with Mycorrhiza fungi, which ensure successful absorption of nutrients. Mycorrhiza strains are expected to differ among different habitats and forest types. To investigate the relationship between plant community and Mycorrhiza diversity, Mycorrhiza diversity was determined by Merci Korir for the same study plots for which plant diversity was studied. The following habitat types were considered here: Non-sedged forest, as well as disturbed forest. The supervision of this work was done by Mwangi Kinyanjui (KU)
