The fieldwork in Tara Gedam, a church forest near Addis Zemen in northern Ethiopia, took place in several smaller thematic working groups and during a period of 3 weeks up to 3 months. We worked on the following topics, which we will briefly highlight below: Vegetation ecology, zoology (birds, insects), ecosystem functions, and aspects from the field of social sciences.
